Admission FAQs
What is the minimum age from which you accept children in your kindergarten?
The minimum age is 18 months.
Is there a waiting list that I can place my child on?
Yes, we do offer a waiting list. However, being placed on a wait list does not guarantee a space, but does place clients in order of priority. A space can only be considered ‘confirmed’ when a pre-registration fee has been accepted by Diana Daycare; this payment holds the space. Diana Daycare will not be provided “in lieu” in the event a client has paid a pre-registration fee and then later chooses to forfeit that space.
Should I keep my child at home if he/she is sick?
If your child shows symptoms of ill health, such as fever, vomiting or diarrhea, your child will not be admitted to care. If your child develops symptoms of ill health while in our care, we will contact you to make arrangements to have your child picked up.
Do you offer subsidies if I cannot afford the full fee?
No, unfortunately, Diana Daycare cannot offer subsidies for low-income families.
How many children attend the daycare?
Based on the Ontario Goverment Child care rules under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA), we can have in our care a maximum of 5 children.
How much do you charge for Part Time?
Sorry at this moment we don’t have any part-time available spots.
Do you offer subsidies or CWELCC fee reductions?
While Diana Daycare is not part of the CWELCC program, our fees are very competitive and closely aligned with CWELCC pricing. Families benefit from transparent pricing with no additional applications, no income verification, and no government paperwork required.
As a small home daycare, we are able to offer:
- Lower operating costs than large childcare centres
- Consistent caregiver relationships, in which your child is cared for by the same person every day
- Smaller group sizes for more individual attention
- Flexible communication and personalized care
Many parents find that the value, stability, and level of care provided are comparable or better than larger subsidized centres, without the complexity or long waiting lists.
What is the cost of a full-time childcare place?
Please contact us, give us a call (289) 803-5087 or fill up the form to get a better, more reliable information about the full time cost. Thank you
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Do you offer part-time daycare?
At this time, no part-time spots are available. All current spaces are full-time only.
What documents are required to enroll my child?
Once a space is available, parents will be asked to complete registration forms and provide relevant information such as emergency contacts and medical details.
Can I visit the daycare before enrolling?
Yes. We strongly encourage parents to schedule a visit before enrollment. This allows you to see the environment, ask questions, and ensure the daycare is a good fit for your family.
How do I apply for a daycare spot?
You can apply by completing the Admission Inquiry form on this page or by calling us directly at (289) 803-5087.
How far in advance should I apply?
We recommend applying as early as possible, especially if you are planning for a future start date, as spaces are limited.
