Snow Day Policy – What To Expect
Winter weather happens. For safety, we follow local guidance in Newmarket and adjust our hours when roads are unsafe. Communication is simple and fast, so parents can plan their morning.
How we notify you
- A text message is sent early mornings with open, late start, or closure status (sometimes a night before a communication can go out)
- We post a short note in our Updates section when there is a change
- Please save our number in your contacts so alerts do not get filtered
When we close or start late
- If buses are cancelled or roads are unsafe, we may open late or close for the day
- Make-up days are not guaranteed, but we try to support families where possible
- Safety of children, families, and staff is the first priority
What you can do
- Pack labelled winter gear every day, indoor shoes, hat, mittens, snow pants
- Leave extra socks in the cubby
- Message us if your plans change
2 May 2026 Update: We have two full-time openings starting this January 2026 for children 18 months and older. Spots are limited and filling quickly - secure your child’s place in adv
